Materials for Additive Manufacturing

The selection of the right 3D printing material always depends on the application at hand. Our materials experts therefore check beforehand which specifications your product has to meet in order to find the best solution. At the same time, the component evaluation allows us to identify the right 3D printing process – whether Selective Laser Sintering (SLS), Selective Laser Melting (SLM), Binder Jetting (BJ), Stereolithography, Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) or other processes.

The available 3D printing materials are divided into five basic groups:

  • Composite materials/fiber-reinforced plastics
  • Bio material (bio inks; hydro gels)
